Ever since I was a child, I always thought that my birth stone was garnet. After researching my birth stone, I came to realize that it is Amethyst. Amethyst can be useful for mediation and spiritual exercises. It calms the mind and emotions. It is known as the crystal for the Aquarius birth sign.
